My Story

Being clever is hard, and like haircuts you only have a finite amount of it in your lifetime, so for now I’ll avoid being clever and stick with the basics.

This site is the repository for my creative endeavors, most notably, these include my visual art(fabric paintings, drawings, ceramics, etc.), and stories. However, this also includes my blog, where I will discuss what I’m up to, but also speechify on such noteworthy things as ‘things that are cool’, ‘things that are not cool’, and other minutiae, ephemera, and important stuff.

Although a lot of my output suits children, I believe it suits adults as well. I aim to create art that is pretty, whimsical, and charming, but also fun to look at and live with. I’ve been told numerous times that my artwork “makes me(them) smile”, which is a rewarding thing to hear. And, the way I see it, life is depressing enough, your artwork shouldn’t depress you further.

One other thing of note regarding my work is that everything I produce is done by hand. For better, or worse, I am a sincere Luddite when it comes to technology. I have some vague knowledge of the existence of better and less labor-intensive means of production/creation, but I maintain that in creating my work by hand I add more of myself, and really how really how could it be otherwise?
